In this article, I am going to share with you my personal experience as a Construction Manager in a small construction management firm here in the Philippines. By the way, I am working here for 2 years now as an Assistant Construction Manager and our company is handling high-rise construction projects from foundation to finish. Owners hire us to make sure that the projects are well-monitored and that we are playing the part of the balancer or evaluator between the owner and the general contractor. The contractor seeks our advice and recommendations before executing the scope of work. Without our approval, nothing could be done. We are also seeking and consulting the Architect’s and the Structural Engineer’s approval if we can’t decide on some technical issues with regard to design.
