The Project Management Cycle
Initiate
This is where you are going to initiate and start the project. Know the concept and the project charter.
Plan
You need to define what is needed in the project: the scope of work, the budget, the work breakdown schedule, bar charts, and S-curves. You can also build a communication plan and risk assessment.
Execute
Here, you’re going to launch what you have planned. Know the status and track them. Know the KPIs, quality, and forecasts.
Monitor and Control
Know your performance and determine if objectives per scope are being controlled. You must monitor the quality. Effort and cost tracking is also a must.
Close
This is where project punch listing occurs. You also have to make reports for different aspects like built plans, warranties, and other turnovers. You also want to consider the release of the retention.
